THE PROBLEM OF HUMAN SURVIVAL AS A MANIFESTATION OF CONCEPT AND CONTENT SPECIFICITY OF THE MODERN "NEW DRAMA"

Abstract. The article reveals the key character of the problem of human survival for modern Russian drama. By different text material the paper shows the topicality of the conflict between society and an individual in the rapidly changing world of the era of the turn of XX-XXI centuries. The character of plays often appears as the object of targeted violence and tyranny. Dramatic works under study highlight changes in the system of value orientations of society which cultivates extreme individualism and focuses a personality on selfish and consumer attitude to life.
