REPRESENTATION OF SINGLENESS MEANING IN THE KUMYK PROVERBS (IN COMPARISON WITH THE ENGLISH)

Abstract. The article examines the problem of representation of singleness meaning in the Kumyk and English paroemias (proverbs and sayings) in the comparative aspect. The author identified that the most frequent method to represent the singleness meaning is the grammatical method (Singular forms), analyzed the similarities and differences of its usage in the compared languages. The analysis indicates that the lexemes with the singleness meaning and the numeral бир / one also take an important place in the micro-field of singleness.
