LINGUO-DIDACTIC POTENTIAL OF THE ENGLISH AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL DISCOURSE AND ITS USE TO FORM FOREIGN LANGUAGE COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE

Abstract. The article examines the possibilities for using English autobiographical discourse when teaching English to higher school students. The paper also considers the possibilities of such discourse when teaching rhetoric basics, theoretical grammar, discursive and linguoculturological analysis. The author explores the linguo-didactic potential of autobiographical discourse and analyzes how its studying promotes the formation of foreign language communicative competence (linguistic, oral, discursive, strategic, sociocultural).
