TYPOLOGY OF PLOTS IN THE EVEN AND ESKIMO FAIRY TALES

Abstract. For the first time the article presents a comparative study of the plot structure of the Even and Eskimo fairy traditions. In the course of the research it is found out that both universal plots peculiar to fairy tales of other nations of the world and local plots directly identified only in fairy tales of the Evens and Eskimo, are met in the fairy tales under consideration. This division is based on the use of the universal, international indicators of fairy plots by Hans-Jorg Uther according to the system Aarne-Thompson while analyzing.
