FORMATION OF REGIONAL IDENTITY IN PRINT MEDIA (BY THE EXAMPLE OF THE NEWSPAPER "NUMBER ONE")

Abstract. The article is devoted to identifying the peculiarities of regional identity formation by the material of the print media of the Republic of Buryatia. As a methodological basis the author uses the constructivist theory of identity. The comparison and correlation of the subject itself with other subjects and objects are essential content of self-determination. This aspect has led to the choice of the horizontal measurement of identity. To take into account this dimension of identity by means of the content analysis of the sample group of texts the author studies references of the correlations and comparisons of the Republic of Buryatia, Ulan Ude with other countries and regions.
