VOCABULARY WITH LIGHT MEANING IN LEO TOLSTOY’S NOVEL "WAR AND PEACE" AND ITS TRANSLATION INTO GERMAN

Abstract. The article is devoted to vocabulary with light meaning by the example of the metaphorical description of eyes, face, smile. The paper examines the interconnection of the mentioned vocabulary with the external expression of emotions. The author analyzes the variants of the translation of lexemes with light meaning into German. Universal lexemes with light meaning relating to the description of eyes/look, face, smile are revealed. The peculiarities of polysemantic words translation are presented.
