METHODS TO IDENTIFY THE LEVEL OF CONCEPTION UNDERSTANDING AND MORAL COMPETENCE LEVEL (BY THE RESULTS OF THE SURVEY OF HEARING-IMPAIRED AND HEARING TEENAGERS ON THE CONCEPTION "ESTEEM")

Abstract. The article develops and describes methods to calculate the level of conception understanding and moral competence level according to the mathematical formula and percentage scale and provides data interpretation. Psycholinguistic studies are carried out using the results of the survey of hearing-impaired and hearing schoolchildren on the moral conception "esteem". The methodical principle includes identifying the respondents’ semes correlating with the semes of lexicographical definitions. The findings are processed by linguistic, psycholinguistic, mathematical methods and then are compared with the developed scale to identify understanding level and moral competence level. The author concludes on the average level of the conception understanding and the low moral competence level among modern teenagers. The analysis of lexical means used to represent the respondents’ answers allows identifying moral-evaluative and cognitive lacunas. The developed methodology can be applied in psycholinguistics, psychology, pedagogy.
