ENGLISH PRECEDENTIAL UNITS WITH COMPONENTS - FICTITIOUS TOPONYMS

Abstract. The article examines English precedential units, including components - fictitious toponyms, and also their equivalents in the Russian language. The main groups of fictitious toponyms are classified depending on the object (oronyms, hydronyms and etc.). In the framework of each group precedential units with fictitious toponyms are considered, they are grouped according to the origin source: legends and myths, Biblical stories, fiction, the world of cinema and television.
