"THE SCHOOL OF V. I. DAL" IN THE RUSSIAN LITERATURE OF THE 40-70S OF THE XIX CENTURY

Abstract. The article deals with the nature of the creativity of the Russian writers’ who are usually attributed to the so-called "School of V. I. Dal". All these writers were guided by the sincere love for the people and the oral folk poetry. The emergence of the "school", undoubtedly, related directly to the formation of the Russian Geographic Society in 1845 that determined the unprecedented "rise" of the interests in the people’s study.
