GENRE DIVERSITY OF BROADCASTING OF THE MODERN REGIONAL TV CHANNELS

Abstract. The article examines genre diversity of broadcasting of the modern regional TV channels which differs from genre diversity of broadcasting of federal TV channels. According to the author, the federal and regional TV channels have a tendency to mix genres, new genres appear and the previously used disappear equally on the federal and regional channels. Mixing genres emerges as a trend of modern journalism resulting from the struggle for the audience’s attention.
