Abstract. The article is devoted to the problem of literary text perception by the modern junior pupils. The research findings on literary text perception by the 1-5 grade pupils are under analysis. The paper identifies the specifics and dynamics of the basic spheres of perception (emotions, imagination, understanding the content and form) at the initial stage of literary education. The author focuses on the interaction of different spheres in the process of literary text perception by the primary school pupils.
