BINARY OPPOSITION "LIFE - DEATH" IN THE ADYGHE LINGUOCULTURE

Abstract. The article aims to examine the peculiarities of representation of the universal concepts "life" and "death" in the Adyghe linguistic picture of the world. Analysis of the mentioned concepts indicates the exceptional relevance of the components of binary opposition; this conclusion is also justified by the wide lexicographical material. According to the research, the most important aspects of life are the style of life and its quality, and the key aspects of death are its inevitability and ability to accept death with dignity.
