PLOT PERSPECTIVE IN THE SMALL FORM WORKS OF EPIC PROSE

Abstract. The article deals with the plot perspective in the works of the small form of the epic prose. Two short stories of the classic of the English literature W. S. Maugham "The Taipan" and "The Verger" have been chosen as the example for the study. The author analyzes the functions of three types of the recurrent center (basic, intermediate and final) in the line of the plot perspective and identifies its role in the small form works of epic prose.
