COMMON REASONS FOR LANGUAGE EVOLUTION IN THE WORKS BY I. A. BAUDOUIN DE COURTENAY AND THEIR REPRESENTATION IN THE MODERN LINGUISTICS

Abstract. The article discusses the common reasons for language evolution represented in the works of the famous linguist of the end of the XIX - beginning of the XX century I. A. Baudouin de Courtenay and provides their interpretation from the viewpoint of the modern domestic linguistics. The paper touches on the problem which is debatable enough nowadays, in particular, the status of the internal reasons for language development. The mentioned reasons correlate with the language evolution factors identified and justified by the scientist in his day.
