COMMUNICATION INCOMPETENCE AS A RISK FACTOR OF COMMUNICATIVE FAILURES OF A JOURNALIST (BY THE EXAMPLE OF PRECEDENT TEXTS)

Abstract. In the article the cases of inadequate communicative competence of Astrakhan journalists are considered. The examples with violation of the various components of communicative competence, namely: ethical, linguistic and proper communicative are analyzed. The dependence between the communicative incompetence of a journalist and the low level possession of background knowledge by him/her, in particular, the precedent texts is identified and grounded. On the basis of the conducted research the author concludes that in the writing of his/her own text a journalist should make strict selection of linguistic means including the precedent texts, take into account the genre specificity of the created by him/her texts, and follow the ethical standards. The article can be recommended for reading by journalists both who begin and improve their professional skills, as well by all people interested in the question of media language.
