"OURS" AND "THEIRS" AS A MEANS OF CULTURAL SELF-IDENTIFICATION

Abstract. The article examines the opposition "ours - theirs" as a principle of the world modeling and the interaction between the representatives of different cultures. Such opposition is considered as one of the most significant gnoseological instruments, defining the specificity of cross-cultural interaction. The opposition under study is realized both on the language level and in lingo-cognitive aspect, being a means of culture cognition of the surrounding world.
