RELIGIOUS AND BIBLICAL MOTIVES AS A SOURCE OF FIGURATIVENESS OF THE LINGUO-CULTURAL CODE "TIME" (BY THE MATERIAL OF THE ENGLISH AND RUSSIAN LANGUAGES)

Abstract. The article examines the peculiarities of the etymology of phraseological units in the English and Russian languages containing Biblical expressions. The author conducts her research within linguo-cultural frames, which have been topical recently due to the relative novelty of the direction, and pays special attention to the examination of the denominations under study as one of the sources of the figurativeness of the linguo-cultural code "Time".
