ON THE ISSUE OF INTERACTION OF DETERMINATIVES AND MODIFIERS IN THE ENGLISH NOMINAL GROUP OF NOUN

Abstract. The article examines the peculiarities of the organization of the areas of determination and modification in the English nominal group of noun. By the results of the conducted corpus-based research the variants of the distribution of determinatives and modifiers relative to one another in nominal group are described. It is assumed that the revealed patterns are conditioned by the semantic-syntactic characteristics of the participating units; the possibility of mixing the borders of post- determinatives and modifiers is explained by the proximity of the functions performed by them.
