Abstract. The article is devoted to the consideration of mythologemes of child’s image in the works of the Khanty prose. The techniques for creating a small hero types are identified, basing on folklore and mythological traditions of the Khanty people. Special attention of the child’s archetype is paid to the methods used by writers to form an image, which is based on the sacralization of his world. The generalized description of the author’s vision of a small hero’s image, which is presented as an individually-personal myth, is given.
