ON THE COMMERCIALIZATION OF THE MODERN MEDIA

Abstract. The article examines the problem of growing amount of commercials in the modern mass media through the prism of the current state of the media market. The author analyzes the phenomenon of commercialization, evaluates the situation on the advertising market in the printed media. Relying on the results acquired during the author’s sociological survey the paper concludes on the level of commercialization of the mass media and their role in the modern society.
