ON THE ORIGIN AND PECULARITIES OF USE OF INTELLECTUAL PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS IN THE MODERN GERMAN LANGUAGE (BY THE MATERIAL OF GERMAN-LANGUAGE PUBLICISTIC DISCOURSE)

Abstract. The article examines the issues of revealing phraseological units with the sign "bildungssprachlich" and description of peculiarities of their use in the publicist discourse in the modern German lexicographic editions. The author suggests a new term "intellectual phraseological units". As a result of the conducted research the author comes to the conclusion that according to their origin the majority of intellectual phraseological units are loan words from the Latin and French languages, according to their type they are principally adverbial, substantive and verbal phraseological unities, and also phraseological expressions.
