THE PECULIARITIES OF NEWS COLUMNS IN THE RUSSIAN AND AMERICAN ELECTRONIC VERSIONS OF WOMAN’S GLOSSY MAGAZINES

Abstract. In the article the analysis of the social news materials of the Russian and American electronic versions of woman’s glossy magazines is presented. The universal scheme of news feed is identified. It is ascertained that the subjects of social gossips and the style of their presentation as a whole coincide on the Russian-language and English-language sites. The specificity of lexical and stylistic means used in the news column is shown. The characteristic features of the translation of the Russian text news column in accordance with the translation of the parallel English text are identified.
