ON THE CORRELATION OF THE NOTIONS "EXTENT OF LOAN WORDS FUNCTIONING" AND "RICHNESS OF THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE" IN THE TEXT OF THE RUSSIAN THINKERS AND POETS OF THE XVIII-XIX CENTURIES

Abstract. The article deals with one of the most topical issues of modern linguistics - the question of the purity of the Russian language and the extent of the loan words use. The authors focus on the attitudes towards loan words of the great Russian thinkers and writers of the ХVIII-ХIХ centuries, and on the correlation of the notions "richness and diversity of the modern Russian literary language", "linguistic ecology", "linguistic style of the era", and "extent of the loan words functioning".
