DISCURSIVE MODALITY OF F. M. DOSTOYEVSKY’S NOVEL "HUMILIATED AND INSULTED"

Abstract. The article is devoted to the discursive and textual analysis of the extracts of F. M. Dostoevsky’s novel "Humiliated and Insulted" which represent the conceptual opposition "Poverty - Wealth". The analysis is conducted from the perspective of a new, extensive approach to modality in terms of discourse which is given the name of "discursive modality".
