Abstract. The article reveals the content of the conception of concept and correlation in the subject area "surgery" of the phenomena "term", "concept", "language of science", "scientific concept", "concept of the language of science" which represent different levels of cognitive process and its results. Concepts of surgery are very significant in the processes of creating surgical conceptions; they are verbalized by the terms of different level of speciality.
