PERCEPTION OF THE ANIMAL KINGDOM AS A REFLECTION OF NATIONAL MENTALITIES OF RUSSIAN AND CHINESE NATIVE SPEAKERS

Abstract. In the article the main factors that influenced the formation of animalistic stereotypes in the Russian and Chinese language consciousness are considered. By the example of the zoonym "fox" the peculiarities of the animal kingdom perception by Russian and Chinese native speakers are revealed. Taking into account of national mentalities in teaching animalistic vocabulary of Chinese students will allow them to avoid communicative failures in the process of cross-cultural communication.
