Abstract. The article analyzes metaphorical structures of the Russian and English languages developed on the basis of conceptual matrix "money". Investigating the concept "money" as a frame actualized in the stable set of scenarios allow identifying the areas of the initial conceptual content which are projected in the recipient sphere. On the basis of the comparative analysis of the selected Russian and English material the author identifies linguoculturological similarities and differences in the structure of the sphere-source, in the choice of the highlighted features of the source and in the orientation of metaphorical projecting.
