GENDER ASPECT OF PARAVERBAL COMMUNICATION (BY THE MATERIAL OF THE ENGLISH "EVERYDAY" ANECDOTES)

Abstract. The article examines the elements of paraverbal communication in the humorous discourse (anecdote). Analysis of the material allows identifying the male and female paraverbal peculiarities in the English "everyday" anecdotes. Women manifest paraverbal expression of the emotion of sadness more frequently than men. For male behaviour paraverbal communication is most typical in the emotional situation of anger.
