Abstract. The article examines the correlation of non-verbal and verbal communicative activity by the example of the verbal gestures with the component hand in the modern English language. The nominated gestures in the language were not previously subjected to detailed analysis from the viewpoint of non-linear science and therefore the research is relevant at the moment.
