THE MYTHOLOGICAL IMAGES IN OLONKHO OF NYURBINSKY STORYTELLERS

Abstract. In the article the peculiarities of mythological images in olonkho of Nyurbinsky storytellers who relate to the Vilyuysky epic tradition are revealed. The author singles out the images of the gods and heroes of the Upper world, the spirit-host of the earth Aan Alakhchyn Khotun, the goddess of war and revenge, the wise old man, the heavenly judges, the blacksmith, and the shaman. As the result it is identified that the new characters have appeared, the functions of the separate images have expanded, and some of them have disappeared.
