THE DEPENDENT TAXIS IN SEMI-COMPLEX SENTENCES OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article is devoted to the research and illustration of the means of expression of taxis relations in semi-complex sentences of the English language. Non-finite verbs are the main structural elements in the construction of semi-complex sentences of various structural types. Despite the lack of paradigms of tense categories, non-finite verbs can also convey taxis meanings and it is necessary to take into account while presenting the material in practical grammar.
