Abstract. In the article the results of the final composition introduced from the academic year 2014/2015 to assess the level of speech culture of school-leavers are analyzed. The comparative analysis of the marks of compositions given by regional experts on the one hand, and on the other hand - by university experts is carried out. By the specific examples the main problem areas reflected in these works are characterized.
