THE SYMBOLIZATION OF A SOCIAL CRITICISM IN THE TEXTS OF SONGS BY "BEATLES"

Abstract. The article examines the peculiarities of symbolization of the social criticism in the songs by "Beatles". The author analyses the language means of reflection of cultural values through the visual images fixed in the texts of songs. In the paper there is a number of evidences that these images are symbols which contain the author’s point of view on the current events in the society and have a definite impact on the listener. The author also reveals the means of expression of the symbols found in the texts.
