INTERACTION OF THE CATEGORIES OF TAXIS AND ASPECTUALITY

Abstract. The article aims to examine the problem of interaction between the categories of aspectuality and taxis by the material of the modern English language. The author identifies the interdependence between the conceptual categories of taxis and aspectuality, the appropriate functional and semantic categories and between the grammatical categories of aspect and phase. So, the importance of the paper involves the fact that the inter-categorial interaction is analyzed both at the conceptual and semantic levels and in the system of grammatical categories.
