DEVELOPING SOCIOCULTURAL COMPETENCE ON THE BASIS OF SONG MATERIAL IN THE FRENCH COURSE FOR NON-LINGUISTIC STUDENTS

Abstract. The article examines the problem of using songs to develop sociocultural competence of non-linguistic students while teaching the second foreign language in a non-linguistic higher school. The paper presents a list of French songs chosen for this purpose by the author who is a teacher of the National Research University "Higher School of Economics". The researcher discusses the stages of work with the song and the tasks typical for them.
