CERTAIN PECULIARITIES OF THE ENGLISH BORROWINGS IN SUB-LANGUAGE OF CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGIES

Abstract. The article is devoted to reviewing the lexical structure of terms borrowed from the English language in the sphere of construction. According to researches, the English borrowings related to the Russian construction vocabulary are divided into three groups: terms, professionalisms and construction jargon, or slang. The mentioned groups are divided into several subgroups depending on the ways of borrowing: literal borrowings, semantic borrowings, shortenings, and also mixed and transformable borrowings, play on words, et al.
