MYTHOLOGICAL THINKING AS BASIC COMPONENT OF EFFICIENCY OF MAGIC FORMULAS (BY THE EXAMPLE OF THE FRENCH LANGUAGE)

Abstract. The article reveals the content of the concepts "magic and myth" explaining the effect produced by magic formulas. The author pays special attention to the conceptions of mythological thinking examining the theory of myth structure and providing the detailed analysis of quackery applying magic formulas in France. The paper shows the basic components of the mythological picture of the world relating to the image of the healer, who is able to cure by magic formulas.
