SOCIOCULTURAL COMPETENCE FORMING DURING CLASSES OF RUSSIAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE WITH THE USE OF WORKS OF PAINTING

Abstract. In the article the issue about the use of works of painting in the teaching of Russian as a foreign language as a means of social competence formation is considered. The paintings of the Russian artists are a strong motivating factor in the development of speech and familiarity with the culture of the target language country. The author gives a description of the system of work on V. A. Serov’s painting "The Girl with Peaches" in classes in the groups of foreign students of non-linguistic specialities.
