CATEGORY OF KNOWLEDGE AS FUNDAMENTAL CATEGORY OF COMMUNICATION

Abstract. The article considers communication as orienting interaction between the subjects of communication aimed at overcoming the miscoordination of their individual cognitive systems, and analyzes the influence of the linguistic and conceptual worldviews of the individual on his/her communicative behaviour. The author pays special attention to the hermeneutic component of knowledge and its role in the development of the individual’s ability to interpret texts and to create new ones, and also in the formation of his/her semiotic competence.
