STRUCTURE OF CONSONANTS OF THE UPPER KOLYMA DIALECT OF THE EVEN LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article aims to describe the structure of consonants of the Upper Kolyma dialect of the Even language - previously unexplored linguistic formation. For Even consonantism not only classifying differential features of the consonants but also a characteristic of certain restrictions for the use (frequency) of phonemes in certain phonetic positions in a word prove to be very important. The article is written on the basis of the material gathered during the field expedition in the Upper Kolyma district of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) in 2014.
