HEDONISM WITHIN THE FRAMEWORKS OF DECADENT ATTITUDE AT THE END OF THE XIX CENTURY

Abstract. The appeal to the state of pleasure and enjoyment is stable in human culture. But the widespread of hedonistic ideas happens in crisis periods of history. That is why the era of decadence has become the fertile ground for the spread of ideas of hedonism. However, there is not simply the actualization of the idea of pleasure, but the content of the phenomenon is changing and expanding. The conceptions of pleasure of W. Pater and O. Wilde allow following these changes in the best way.
