ON THE PROBLEM OF LEXICO-GRAMMATICAL REPRESENTATION OF BOUNDEDNESS BY THE POSTPOSITIONS OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article is devoted to investigating the functioning of postpositions in the English language. Modern scientists, distinguishing the word-formative function of postpositions, consider them as the lexico-grammatical indicators of the category of boundedness. On the basis of the available scientific propositions the author pays special attention to the origin of postpositions and for the first time investigates their functions depending on the context.
