Abstract. In the article the peculiarities of phonematic variance of a word in the modern German language are considered. By the example of German colloquial vocabulary main types of phonematic variations in root and affixal morphemes are described. Phonematic variation of a word is connected with historical phonomorphological processes of the German language development.
