USING FRENCH HUMOUR FOR THE FORMATION OF CROSS-CULTURAL COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE OF THE STUDENTS OF LINGUISTIC HIGHER SCHOOL

Abstract. The article examines the problem of cross-cultural education by the material of the native speakers’ humour. The author identifies the specifics of French humour, justifies the necessity for using it at French lessons at a linguistic higher school as a means for the formation of multicultural linguistic personality enjoying a high level of cross-cultural communicative competence.
