DIALOGUE OF CULTURES IN NOVELS "BRAVE NEW WORLD" BY ALDOUS HUXLEY AND "1984" BY GEORGE ORWELL

Abstract. The article touches upon the dialogue of cultures, represented in the English anti-utopian novels of the first half of the ХХ century: "Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley and "1984" by George Orwell. The author analyzes the typological features of novels, paying special attention to the role and place of dialogue between cultures, and comes to the conclusions about the tendency towards the nihilistic essence of culture as a result of the totalitarian influence in the artistic world of anti-utopia and about the role of a man who is the embodiment of cultures dialogue carrier.
