DISTANCE LEARNING OF A FOREIGN LANGUAGE: ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES

Abstract. The article is devoted to the problem of distance learning which is becoming more popular in foreign language teaching but still is rarely used by Russian higher schools. The paper discusses new possibilities provided by this form of teaching, its positive and negative aspects. The author analyzes the experience of distance learning of the English language using Skype.
