BUILDING VOCABULARY IN THE METAPHORICAL REPRESENTATION OF THE CONCEPTUAL SPHERE "SOCIETY" IN THE ENGLISH AND RUSSIAN LANGUAGES

Abstract. In the article the author studies the conceptual sphere "Society" in the conceptual picture of the world of the English and Russian native speakers, the peripheral part of which is presented by metaphorically reconsidered building vocabulary. On the basis of the conducted comparative analysis of the means of the metaphorical representation of the studied conceptual sphere the conceptual metaphors which are typical for both languages are revealed.
