FEATURES OF WEEK DAYS PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS ETYMOLOGY IN THE CONTEXT OF SUPERSTITION AND SAYINGS (BY THE MATERIAL OF THE RUSSIAN AND ENGLISH LANGUAGES)

Abstract. The article considers the features of those phraseological units etymology in the English and Russian languages that have the names of week days in their composition. The author imposes linguo-cultural framework on the research, which is of particular relevance in view of this direction relative newness, and pays special attention to the consideration of interesting names in the context of folk superstitions and sayings.
