Abstract. The article considers the methods for creation of nominations for colour shades by the material of nominations for fashionable colours autumn-winter 2013-2014. The paper identifies the types of cognitive models according to which the colour terms are formed - metonymical, propositional, metaphtonymic cognitive models. The author distinguishes the colour terms the creation of which is realized by a certain cognitive model and colour terms under designing of which several models are implemented.
