SPECIFICS OF MEDICAL DISCOURSE BY THE MATERIAL OF AUTHENTIC TEXTS ON SPECIALITY

Abstract. The article is dedicated to the specifics of written medical discourse. The authors analyze the functional-stylistic peculiarities of written scientific medical discourse and written popular science medical discourse by the material of authentic texts chosen from the world major medical journals. The research testified that written scientific medical discourse is characterized by the exact style of scientific presentation, and popular science written discourse addresses the large-scale readership on the issues of public health care.
